Make my Chocolate!

What would you do if you could make your own chocolate and at the end of it have no messy kitchen, no chocolate smeared hands and aprons to clean up, no pans to scrape and no stains to scrub?! I’d jump for joy and thank my luck, is what I’d do. And you could too, by just virtual-visiting Make my Chocolate.

Nadine Niestroy, a German entrepreneur, started Infinity Confectionery Pvt. Ltd. and it’s star brand Make my Chocolate earlier this year. She decided to make it one choco-joyous ride for her customers. You can assemble your own chocolate bars online or pick from chocolates and assemble your own box. Howzzat?!

So if you’re on board this unique online chocolate shopping experience, you can pick from deeeeeelicious Belgian dark or white chocolate as the base for your chocolate bar, pick from luscious berries like raisins, strawberries, plums, and more, then pick nuts, then spices – yes! you can pick from chillies, pink peppercorns, mint Japanese green tea, cinnamon and more! That’s it – a few clicks and the Make my Chocolate team at the other end will assemble your chocolate bar for you and have it shipped, free of cost anywhere in India!

The interface is very cool. You just click your way through the choices and the total amount shows up on screen so can see what you’re getting.

The pralines come with the following ganache fillings: coffee, hazelnut, yoghurt, coconut, vanilla & cinnamon, strawberry – but we frequently add new flavors. To suit the Indian palate, there are “Chocolate Jamuns”, the traditional Indian sweet, covered and decorated with Belgian chocolate.

Nadine and her 3 associates are the sweet force behind make my Chocolate. Here’s how they started. Says Nadine, a German entrepreneur, who’s lived in Bengaluru for 5 years and a chocolate lover, “We realized that there was a dire need for “real” chocolate, since the chocolate that is currently available on the Indian market contains a high amount of vegetable fat, compound chocolate, and other artificial ingredients. These ingredients are added mainly to ensure that the chocolate does not melt in the hot Indian climate. Unfortunately, these ingredients also reduce the flavour and texture of the chocolate. I decided to start my own chocolate manufacture, importing only highest-quality 100% Belgium chocolate to India for my various chocolate products. In order to ensure quality and consistency of the product, the brand “MakeMyChocolate” was created as an online chocolate shopping portal, where customers can create their own chocolate bars and pralines, which are then made-to-order and sent out with a courier service in a cooling box with ice packs.”

The team of 2 Germans and 2 Indians offer a product range focusing on customized chocolate bars, pralines and truffles. All products are made from 100% imported Belgium chocolate (milk chocolate, white chocolate or strawberry chocolate). Check out their festival specials and catering for events.

At the beginning of next year, they will be introducing a range of pure chocolate truffles with various flavours. Also starting next year, the company will expand, move to a bigger facility and will also be available for corporate and event catering on a large scale.

I had a taste of these yummies at that Christmas Bazaar recently and it was heaven! Happy chocolate making ya’ll!
