Learn! The Wine Society of India

The Wine Society of India continues the wine education series with programmes scheduled in Sept., Oct., and Nov. 2010. The education series are available in Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune and New Delhi. If you complete a course successfully, you will receive a certificate of distinction signed by Steven Spurrier.

LEVEL 1 – Introduction to the world of wine

An introduction to wine basics, including a tasting of 6 wines and our signature Bournville fine dark chocolate and red wine pairing. Shagun Mehra, WSI Wine Educator leads the programme. She is one of India’s first wine certified trainers from the Wine and Spirits Education Trust (WSET), London.

It covers:

– What is wine
– Types and styles of wine
– What to assess in a wine
– Six famous red and white wine grape varietals
– How to taste wine
– How to open, store and serve wine correctly

Dates: Saturday, 25th September, 2010
Venue: ISTA Hotel, Swami Vivekananda Road, Ulsoor, Bangalore
Time: 2:00pm – 4:30pm (including mid-session break)
Special Price of Rs.2100 all inclusive for members of The Wine Society of India!
