Tired of pairing tomato and orange juice with vodka? Try litchi! It may feel too tropical for some, but it does pack a sweet and hard punch, this combination of fruit and distilled beverage. The litchi juice available off the shelf is highly concentrated. For this cocktail, dilute it with a little iced water.
To make a single cocktail, you need:
- 30 ml (1 oz) vodka
- 60 ml (2 oz) litchi juice
- 30 ml (1 oz) iced water
- A few ice cubes
- Springs of mint leaves for garnish
- Extra ice, if required
Put all of the above into a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously. Strain into a glass. Add more ice if you like. Garnish with mint leaves.
You know those cute little jars in which you get sauces, pesto, salsa, mayo, even pickles? They make great cocktail serving glasses. Gives the party a rustic, outdoorsy feel, like you’re making do with whatever containers are handy for the alco! So the more varied the jars the better. All different shapes and sizes… I think this one’s a salsa jar…
